Chén Chè 陳澈 (fl. late Míng / early Qīng). Compiler of the Yào zhèng jìyí 藥症忌宜 (KR3ec070) — a clinical-pharmacology cross-index that lists, for each syndrome (風, 寒, 暑, 濕, 燥, 火 etc.), the drugs that are contraindicated (忌) and the drugs that are appropriate (宜). The work is structurally a counterpart to Líng Huàn 凌奐’s Běncǎo hài lì (KR3ec059) but organised by syndrome rather than by drug. The author’s biographical detail is sparse. One CBDB entry (541326) under 陳澈 has no biographical detail. The work is sometimes attributed to Miù Xīyōng 繆希雍 (1546–1627) as a sub-section of his medical writings rather than to a separate author named Chén Chè; the catalog meta gives 陳澈 and we follow it here while noting the uncertainty.
