Táo Bǎolián 陶保廉 (1862–1938) was the son of the Qīng official and scholar Táo Mó 陶模 (governor-general of Liǎng-Guǎng). A late-Qīng / Republican-era literatus, he is remembered in the present catalog as the recorder (lù 錄) of his master 梁玉瑜 Liáng Yùyú’s medical dáwèn 答問 (KR3eh030). His best-known independent work is Xīnmǎo shìxíng jì 辛卯侍行記 (1891), the travel diary of his service in the Xīběi.
