Mid-Northern-Sòng frontier military-administrative official and poet, Shāngwēng 商翁, of Qíyáng 祁陽 (Húnán). In Qìnglì followed Yáng Tián 楊畋 in suppressing the Húnán Yáo uprising and was rewarded with Yángshuò xiàn zhǔbù; held zhī Yōngzhōu (Guǎngxī, on the southern Sòng-Annam frontier); promoted four ranks to Dōngshàng Géménshǐ and Kángzhōu Tuánliànshǐ. The Sòngshǐ j. 334 biography details his pacification of the Mán tribes. Original 18-juǎn literary corpus lost; mùzhìmíng by Huáng Tíngjiān 黃庭堅 (preserved in Shāngǔ jí).
