Lù Yuānléi 陸淵雷
Republican-period Chinese-medicine reformer and educator (1894–1955), based in Shànghǎi. Co-founder of the Shànghǎi guóyī xuéyuàn 上海國醫學院 and the Shànghǎi zhōngguó yīxuéyuàn 上海中國醫學院 and one of the chief proponents of kēxué huà 科學化 (scientisation) of Chinese medicine. Author of the Shānghán lùn jīnshì 傷寒論今釋 (1931) and Jīnguì yàolüè jīnshì 金匱要略今釋 (1934), influential textbooks attempting to integrate Western biomedical concepts with the Shānghán / Jīnguì tradition.
