Yán Wénxuǎn 顏文選
Míng-period scholar-official; held the post of jǐshìzhōng 給事中 (Secretariat Drafter / Censor). His principal scholarly output is the running commentary (zhù 註) to the Luò chéng jí KR4c0006, the surviving 4-juǎn recension of Luò Bīnwáng 駱賓王. The Sìkù compilers — receiving Yán’s edition as the only available annotation of Luò — printed it for completeness while criticizing his attestations as “loose and faulty, almost without value, but in the absence of any other commentary tradition retained for reference” (lit. yuányǐn shūchuǎn dài wúkě qǔ 援引疎舛殆無可取). His exact dates and biography are not recorded in the standard sources; CBDB has no entry. The position jǐshìzhōng in the late Míng was a senior Ménxiàshěng drafting post normally held by experienced examination graduates.
