Gù Yǔxián 顧予咸 ( Xiǎoruǎn 小阮), of Chángzhōu 長洲 (Sūzhōu prefecture). Shùnzhì dīnghài (1647) jìnshì; rose to Lìbù kǎogōngsī yuánwàiláng (Vice-Director, Office of Merit Evaluation, Ministry of Personnel). Father of Gù Sìlì 顧嗣立 顧嗣立, the celebrated late-Kāngxī / early-Yōngzhèng literary scholar and editor of the Yuán shī xuǎn.

Gù Yǔxián supplemented Zēng Yì’s 曾益 late-Míng commentary on Wēn Tíngyún 溫庭筠, adding the layer of notes signed 補 in the present Wēn Fēiqīng shī jí jiānzhù (= KR4c0078). His son Gù Sìlì subsequently re-edited the entire collection, restoring the 7-juǎn Sòng-print structure and correcting many of Zēng’s errors. The collaborative production — Zēng (Míng base) + Gù Yǔxián (early Qīng supplement) + Gù Sìlì (Kāngxī re-edit) — is one of the more legible examples of how late-imperial jíbù commentary projects accumulated intergenerationally.

CBDB has no matching entry. Beyond the Wēn Tíngyún commentary work, Gù Yǔxián is recorded in the Chángzhōu xiànzhì and Sūzhōu fǔzhì as a substantive literary scholar of the early-Qīng circle.
