Gù Yǔnchéng 顧允成 (1554–1607), Jìshí 季時, of Wúxī 無錫 (Jiāngsū), younger brother of Gù Xiànchéng 顧憲成 (cf. KR4e0223). Passed the metropolitan examination in 1583 but only completed the palace examination in 1586, when his duìcè (response-essay) attacking the imperial-favorites placed him in the lowest grade. Officed Lǐbù zhǔshì; demoted to Guāngzhōu zhōupàn over the Sānwáng bìngfēng (Three Princes Joint-Investiture) memorial. After returning to Wúxī, he was a co-founder (with his elder brother and Gāo Pānlóng) of the Dōnglín shūyuàn in 1604, where he lectured until his death. His collection is the Xiǎobiànzhāi ǒucún KR4e0224. CBDB 34743.
