Gù Cóngyì 顧從義 (1523–1588), zì Rǔhé 汝和, of Shànghǎi (Sōngjiāng prefecture, Jiāngsū), was a Jiājìng-era senior calligrapher selected by imperial summons during the Jiājìng era to enter direct imperial service for his calligraphic skill. He was awarded the post of zhōngshū shèrén 中書舍人 and served on the Wénhuádiàn zhí 文華殿直 staff. After contributing to the Guóshǐ 國史 compilation in the early Lóngqìng era (1567–), he was promoted to Dàlǐsì píngshì 大理寺評事. His one notable surviving work is the Fǎtiè shìwén kǎoyì 法帖釋文考異 KR2n0031 in 10 juan — a Míng critical re-collation of the Chúnhuà gétiè shìwén tradition. CBDB 133659 confirms 1523–1588.
