高承埏

Gāo Chéngyán 高承埏

Late-Míng official and lay Buddhist practitioner. Jìnshì of Chóngzhēn era. Died in the MíngQīng transition (lifedates 1601–1645). Substantial lay patron of late-Míng Buddhist projects.

Supplementary editor (補) of the Bāshíbā zǔ dàoyǐng zhuàn zàn 八十八祖道影傳贊 (KR6q0045), adding patriarchal entries to Hānshān Déqīng 憨山德清’s original compilation.
