Huáng Zǐfā 黃子發 (fl. Táng, dates and native place unrecorded) is named in the bibliographical record as the author of the Xiàng yǔ shū 相雨書 (“Book of Reading Rain”) KR3fa004, a one-juǎn manual of zhànyǔ 占雨 (rain-prognostication) by atmospheric, cloud and astronomical signs. Nothing else is reliably recorded of him; some catalog notices treat his name as a pseudonymous attribution rather than a person. The Sòngshǐ yìwénzhì 宋史藝文志 already lists the work under his name.
