Huángshígōng 黃石公 (“the Yellow-Stone Lord”) is the legendary Qín-period figure of the Shǐjì’s Zhāng Liáng 張良 narrative (j. 55) — an old man who appeared to the young Zhāng Liáng on the Xiàpī 下邳 bridge, gave him a military classic with the prophecy that “in thirteen years you will see me as the yellow stone at Gǔchéngshān”, and disappeared. Zhāng Liáng’s later success aiding Liú Bāng was attributed to study of this text. Two SKQS works in KR3b are attributed to him: Huángshígōng sānlüè 黃石公三畧 (KR3b0007) — the canonical military classic in 3 juan, included in the Wǔ jīng qī shū; and Huángshígōng sùshū 黃石公素書 (KR3b0009) — also a military-strategic biji, with Sòng commentary by Zhāng Shāngyīng 張商英. Both works are post-Qín pseudepigrapha drawing on the legendary Yellow-Stone-Lord identity.
