Huáng Zhèn 黃震 (1213–1281), zì Dōngfā 東發, posthumously Wénjié 文潔, was a major late-Sòng / SòngYuán transition Confucian, Mǐnxué (ZhūXī) loyalist of Cíxī 慈谿 (Yínxiàn region, Zhèjiāng — the same county as Yáng Jiǎn but a Zhūxué loyalist where Yáng was a Lù-school xīnxué figure). Jìnshì of Bǎoyòu 4 (1256). Held office in the late Sòng to Xíng Zhèdōng tíjǔ chángpíng 行浙東提舉常平; in 1277 (after the Mongol conquest of Línān in 1276) he refused to serve Yuán and starved himself to death in retirement at Bǎofúshān 寶幅山. Major works: the Huángshì rì chāo 黃氏日抄 (KR3a0064), his comprehensive jīngshǐzǐjí reading-notebook in originally 97 juan (94 extant); the Gǔjīn jì yào 古今紀要 (a chronological history); the Gǔjīn jì yào yìbiān 古今紀要逸編.
