Mid-Qīng (Dàoguāng / Xiánfēng era) physician of Rénhé 仁和 (Hángzhōu prefecture, Zhèjiāng); shēngyuán of his county. Son of Gōng Dǐān 龔砥庵, the third-generation head of a Rénhé hereditary medical family. Best known by his Yuèchuān 月川. His principal documented work is the compilation of KR3er114 Jiāyòng liángfāng 家用良方 (1851), composed in collaboration with the Cantonese jìnshì 黃統 Huáng Tǒng from 1843 to 1851. The work became one of the most widely distributed late-Qīng household formularies, with multiple reprints into the Tóngzhì and Guāngxù periods. Not in CBDB.
