In Kāngxī 30 (= 1691 CE) became “ascending the hall” (shàngtáng 上堂) — i.e., began formally teaching as a master — at the Dèngwèishān Shèngēnsì 鄧尉山聖恩寺 in Sūzhōu. Composed the Jīngāng sānmèi jīng tōngzōng jì 金剛三昧經通宗記 (KR6d0115, X35n0652, in 12 juan) — a substantial commentary on the Vajrasamādhisūtra (T273), with preface by the lay-disciple Wèi Xuéqú 魏學渠 (a kānrěn xuérén 堪忍學人, “patient-endurance student”).
Note: The first character of the name 𧧌 is a rare Chinese character (CJK Extension B, U+27DCC); it should ideally be rendered as the yán 言 radical with the cáo 曺 phonetic. In monastic record contexts also written variously as 寂 (homophonous jì) or as the standard 𧧌.
