Yěshì Shānrén 也是山人 (“the ‘Also-So’ Mountain Recluse”) — pseudonym of an anonymous mid-Qīng Jiāngnán physician writing in the post-Yè-Tiān-shì 葉天士 (葉桂) Sūzhōu wēnbìng tradition of the mid-Qīng to mid-nineteenth century. His KR3ep028 Yěshì Shānrén yīàn 也是山人醫案 survives in a single juǎn preserving classical Yè-school clinical cases. The author’s identity has not been securely established; some modern reference works identify him as a disciple or near-contemporary of Yè Tiānshì, others leave the question open. The pseudonym is one of several Daoist-style shānrén names favoured by Qīng Jiāngnán physicians (compare Yè Tiānshì’s own Shàngjīn lǎorén 上津老人).
