Liǎoliàng 了亮

A late-Qīng disciple of the Pure Land patriarch 徹悟 Chèwù Jìxǐng (1741–1810), known principally as the chief compiler (děng jí 等集) of the Chèwù chánshī yǔlù KR6p0101 (X1182). He was active around the Jiāqìng 嘉慶 era (1796–1820) at the Beijing-area monasteries Guǎngtōngsì 廣通寺, Juéshēngsì 覺生寺, and Zīfúsì 資福寺 where Chèwù served successively as abbot. Beyond his role as compiler of the Yǔlù — which preserves Chèwù’s sermons, zázhù, and the famous Niànfó qiétuó in 100 verses — no substantial biographical record survives. His name appears in the colophons alongside fellow disciples Sōngquán 松泉 and Xīnyǔ 心雨; the lay disciple Lǐ Féngchūn 李逢春 is named as the patron of the printing.
