Hé Chángzhì 何長治

Mid-nineteenth-century Ménghé 孟河 (Jiāngnán) physician, Shūtián 書田 (under which he is often cited as Hé Shūtián 何書田), hào Hóngfáng 鴻舫. One of the principal prolific physicians of the Ménghé Hé 何 family medical lineage, conventionally identified as a younger brother of 何游 Hé Yóu (= Hé Dànān 何澹安, see KR3ep005). The Hé family is one of the four great Ménghé medical lineages alongside the Fèi 費, Mǎ 馬, and Cháo 巢 families systematically reconstructed in Volker Scheid, Currents of Tradition in Chinese Medicine 1626–2006 (Eastland Press, 2007).
