Fóyǎn Qīngyuǎn 佛眼清遠 (1067–1120)
Northern-Sòng Línjì-Yángqí Chán master, one of the so-called “three Buddhas” (sān fó 三佛) — disciples of 五祖法演 Wǔzǔ Fǎyǎn (d. 1104) along with Yuánwù Kèqín 圜悟克勤 and Tàipíng Huìqín 太平慧懃. Native of Línqióng 臨邛 in Sìchuān, lay surname Lǐ 李. Recorded yǔlù preserved in the canon. To be distinguished from the southern-Sòng Huáyán scholar 清遠 Qīngyuǎn (KR6i0561).
