Shinhan 信範, Shingon-line Siddham scholar of the late Heian / early Kamakura period. Precise lifedates are not securely attested in modern reference works; he is conventionally placed in the period c. 1200–1265 on the basis of doctrinal vocabulary in his Shittan hi-den-ki KR6t0419. The work is one of a class of late-Heian / early-Kamakura Shingon esoteric transmission texts characterized by their framing of doctrinal material as secret oral teaching.
