Fù Chá 傅察 (1089–1126), Gōnghuì 公晦, of Mèngzhōu 孟州 (Hénán). Jìnshì 1109. Held office to Bīngbù yuánwài láng. In Xuānhé 7 / 1125, dispatched as jiēbànshǐ (envoy to receive Jin embassy) on the eve of the Jìngkāng invasion. Encountering the Jin invasion army on the road, Fù was captured; he refused to bow to the Jin commander Zhānhàn 粘罕 (Wányán Zōnghàn 完顏宗翰), repeatedly cursed him, and was killed. Posthumously canonised Zhōngsù 忠肅 (Loyal-and-Solemn). Author of Zhōngsù jí 忠肅集 KR4d0134 in 3 juǎn, edited by his son Fù Bóshòu 傅伯壽. Biography: Sòng shǐ j. 446 (Zhōngyì 1). Catalog confirms 1089–1126.
