Guāngzhì 光致 is the zì/hào by which the author of the Republican-period paediatric primer Yòukē gàilùn 幼科概論 (KR3ej003) identifies himself in the preface (“光致所講幼科…”). The full personal name has not been securely identified; Guāngzhì may be a courtesy name (zì) or studio name (hào) of an early-twentieth-century physician with at least twenty years of paediatric clinical experience. The text’s vocabulary, theoretical framework, and polemical engagement with the jīngfēng 驚風 diagnostic category place him in the Republican period (Mínguó, 1912–1949).
