Irie Toemon 入江豐明

Edo-period Japanese acupuncturist, founder or principal heir of the Irie-ryū 入江流 acupuncture lineage that descended from the Míng-influenced continental tradition imported into early-Edo Japan. Known almost entirely through 杉山和一 Sugiyama Wa’ichi’s autobiographical preface to KR3ee052 Xuǎnzhēn sānyào jí 選針三要集, where he is named as Sugiyama’s teacher (Iruka 入江先生) under whom Sugiyama studied for three years. No independent biography survives.
