Pseudonym of the author of KR4k0276 Yīngxióng Lèi 英雄淚. The full pen name as given on the title page of the stone-print edition is 雞林冷血生著 — “Written by Lěngxuèshēng of Jīlín 雞林,” where Jīlín (literally “Rooster Forest”) is an archaic poetic name for Korea (from the ancient Silla kingdom). The self-preface is dated “mid-autumn of gēngxū” (庚戌仲秋, 1910).

A bibliographic note in the Kanripo source file raises the hypothesis that the author may be Chén Jǐnghán 陳景韓 (1878–1906), the journalist and editor of Xiǎoshuō Shíbào 小說時報, who used “冷血” as a pen name. However, Chén Jǐnghán died in 1906 — before the 1910 composition date given in the preface — and the identification remains uncertain. The Kanripo note records it “for further investigation” (lù yǐ dài kǎo 錄以待考). No CBDB record has been identified for the author of this work.
