YuánMíng transition poet, native of Qiántáng 錢塘 (Hángzhōu, Zhèjiāng). Yànchōng 彥翀; hào Zhèxuān 柘軒 (“Mulberry Studio”). Studied under the Jīn-huá-school scholar Chéng Yǐwén 程以文 at Yīnán 黟南 (Huīzhōu); the Sìkù tíyào of his collected work KR4e0019 explicitly corrects Zhū Yízūn’s Míng-era misattribution to Chén Lǚ 陳旅 ( Zhòngzhòng). Yuán xiāngshì graduate of Zhìzhèng 19 (1359); appointed shānzhǎng of the Shàoxīng Lántíng shūyuàn 紹興蘭亭書院 but did not take up the post. In Hóngwǔ 14 (xīnyǒu 辛酉, 1381) recommended on grounds of talent and appointed Sìchuān Chéngdū jiàoshòu 四川成都教授, in which post he died. His verse and prose were assembled by his grandson in Yǒnglè 3 (1405) as the five-juǎn Zhèxuān jí 柘軒集 KR4e0019.
