SòngYuán transition 元 Lúlíng (Jízhōu) literary figure and minor official. Zì Gāozhòng 高仲; students called him Shēnzhāi xiānshēng 申齋先生. Native of Jíshuǐ 吉水 (Lúlíng / Jízhōu, Jiāngxī). CBDB 28015 records b. 1260; death-date uncertain.
Literary placement. One of the three principal Lúlíng Sòng-Yuán-transition literary figures (together with Liú Shēn 劉詵 KR4d0436 and Lóng Rénfū 龍仁夫). The triad continues the Liú Chénwēng KR4d0397 / Liú Jiāngsūn 劉將孫 KR4d0456 Jiāngxī SòngYuán transition literary lineage.
Career. Esteemed by Liú Chénwēng 劉辰翁 and Wú Chéng 吳澄. On Wú Chéng’s recommendation summoned as Liáoyáng rúxué fùtíjǔ 遼陽儒學副提舉 but declined the appointment. Later appointed Tàihézhōu pàn 泰和州判 (Tàihé Department Vice-Magistrate) and retired.
Collection. Shēnzhāi jí KR4d0476 — originally 15 juàn per the Sìkù zǒngmù; the present Yǒnglè dàdiǎn reconstruction is 10 juàn. Edited by his disciple Xiāo Xún 蕭洵; prefaced by Lǐ Qí 李祁. The Yuán print was destroyed during the YuánMíng transition; only manuscript copies survived.
