Liú Héngruì 劉恆瑞 (fl. late 19th – early 20th century), late-Qīng / early-Republican physician of Jīngjiāng 京江 (= Zhènjiāng 鎮江, Jiāngsū). Studio name Yǒuyùzhāi Tíngyúnzhuánshè 有預齋停雲傳舍.
His self-preface to the 察舌辨症新法 (KR3eb053) records over thirty years of clinical experience devoted to the systematic verification of tongue diagnosis, leading him to draft a private manual for his students. In the gēngxū year (= 1910) he joined Yuán Guìshēng 袁桂生, Yáng Suìxī 楊燧熙, and Yè Zǐshí 葉子實 in founding the journal Yī xué fú lún bào 醫學扶輪報 in Zhènjūn 鎮郡 (Zhènjiāng); his Chá shé biàn zhèng xīn fǎ was serialised in that journal from late 1910 into mid-1911, when publication was interrupted by the Xīnhài Revolution (辛亥革命). After receiving repeated requests from the Shàoxīng Medical Society and the Shànghǎi Medical Society for copies of the full manuscript, he signed the present preface on the third day after the spring equinox of the róubǐng zhíxú (= bǐngchén 丙辰 = 1916) year and released the text to the Shàoxīng medical press through Zhōu Xiǎonóng 周小農’s book-distribution arrangement.
