Late-13th-century Yuán 元 Daoist scholar, co-compiler (with 丁易東 Dīng Yìdōng and others) of the major Yuán Dàodé jīng commentary-anthology [[KR5c0113|DZ 724 Dàodé zhēn jīng jí yì]] 道德真經集義 and its introductory [[KR5c0112|DZ 723 Dà zhǐ]] 大旨. Postface dated 1299.

Activity period. Active 1296–1300. His 1299 postface to DZ 723 (at 3.21b–27a) is the principal datable anchor. He is otherwise little-documented — his position in the Yuán Daoist establishment is reflected in the endorsement of the compilation by 張嗣成 Zhāng Yǔcái’s colophon (the 41st Celestial Master, d. 1316).

Collaborative project. Liú Wéiyǒng’s 1299 postface explains that his anthology and that of Dīng Yìdōng were amalgamated into the received DZ 723–724 compilation. Dīng’s own commentary is cited within the anthology under Dīng’s hào Shí tán 石潭. Yú Qīng zhōng’s postface mentions a “new edition” of the anthology that included his own collaborative commentary with Dīng Yìdōng — testifying to the multi-stage collaborative compilation.

Dating. Active 1296–1300. No lifedates recorded. No CBDB record identified.

Work. As co-compiler of DZ 723 + DZ 724, Liú Wéiyǒng’s principal contribution is editorial rather than independently authored.
