Mid-Yuán calligrapher and scholar from Pútián 莆田 in Fújiàn; Néngjìng 能靜, hào Yuánfàn 原範. Contemporary of 鄭枃 (Zhèng Bǐng); his name appears in Lín Chénglín’s Púyáng shībiān 莆陽詩編 and in Táo Zōngyí’s KR3h0043 Shūshǐ huìyào. Author of the canonical exegetical commentary on Zhèng Bǐng’s KR3h0038 Yǎnjí 衍極, transmitted with the text in all extant editions. The Sìkù editors describe him as a “refined man of letters” (文雅之士).
