Liú Zìqiáng 劉自強 (late-Míng official, fl. Wànlì era), of Fúgōu 扶溝 (Hénán); censor-and-cabinet official (“余備員臺省,歷事三朝”) of the Jiājìng / Lóngqìng / Wànlì eras. After retirement Liú spent his time studying medical books for yǎngshēng purposes, and in this capacity supplied the prefatory framing of 龔廷賢 Gōng Tíngxián’s Gǔjīn yījiàn 古今醫鑑 (KR3er037) in the late 1580s. Liú characterised the work as the rare medical compendium that achieves both “concision of language with detail of content” (文約而事詳,辭簡而義當). No CBDB record under this name. Lifedates undetermined.
