Ratnamati 勒那摩提 (also written 勒那婆提, 勒那, 勒那漫提, 勒那菩提三藏), Northern-Wèi-period Indic translator. Sanskrit: Ratnamati (“Jewel-Wisdom”); Chinese gloss Bǎoyì 寶意 (“Jewel-Intent”). Native of central India. Lifedates unrecorded; productive period in the late fifth and early sixth century at the Northern Wèi court.

Reached Luòyáng c. 508 (the same year as Bodhiruci 菩提留支), and joined Bodhiruci as collaborative translator of the Daśabhūmika-sūtra-śāstra (the Shídì jīng-lùn 十地經論, T1522), the foundational text of the Dìlùn 地論 school. The collaboration is significant: Ratnamati’s interpretation of Vasubandhu’s commentary diverged from Bodhiruci’s, leading to the formation of two competing Dìlùn lineages — the Northern Dào 北道 (Bodhiruci) and the Southern Dào 南道 (Ratnamati). The Southern Dìlùn lineage subsequently developed into the principal interpretive stream that informed the Suí-period Sānlùn-Dìlùn synthesis.
