Lì Tíngyí 勵廷儀 (1669–1732), zì Lìngshì 令式, hào Bànyán 半巖, posthumous title Wéngōng 文恭. Native of Jìnghǎi 靜海 (Tiānjīn). Jìnshì of Kāngxī 39 (1700); rose through the Hànlín to Lǐbù shàngshū 吏部尚書 under Yōngzhèng. His father Lì Dùyuè 勵杜訥 had been a Kāngxī confidential secretary and Hànlín shìdú xuéshì 翰林院侍讀學士; the family is one of the small group of Hàn-Bànnermen-style Hànlín dynasties of the early Qīng. Listed in KR2j0002 Yùdìng yuèlìng jíyào as a jiào kān guān 校勘官 (collation officer) on the strength of his then position as rìjiǎngguān qǐjūzhù Hànlínyuàn shìjiǎng xuéshì 日講官起居注翰林院侍講學士. He served on multiple late-Kāngxī imperial compilations including the Pèiwén yùnfǔ 佩文韻府 and the Yuán jiàn lèihán 淵鑑類函. Qīng shǐ gǎo j. 289.
