Wú Yīyī 吳一立 (Yi-Li Wu) is a historian of Chinese medicine specialising in late-imperial gender and bodily knowledge. Her Reproducing Women: Medicine, Metaphor, and Childbirth in Late Imperial China (Berkeley, 2010) is the principal English-language monograph on Qīng medical reproduction; her earlier “A Medical Line of Many Masters” (Chinese Science 11, 1994: 36–65) traces the JīnYuán Liú Héjiān–Dànxī prosopography.
