Lǚ Xiàng 呂向 (fl. 722–725), zì Zǐ Huí 子回, was a Tang scholar from Jīngzhào 京兆 with a reputation for prodigious memory and calligraphy in the cǎo and lì scripts. He passed the Dàojǔ 道舉 examination in the early Kāiyuán years and rose to Hànlín gōngfèng 翰林供奉 and Zhōngshū shèrén 中書舍人. He is best known as one of the Five Officials of the Wǔchén jízhù Wén xuǎn 五臣集註文選 presented to Xuánzōng in Kāiyuán 6 (718); his commentary is preserved in KR4h0003. He also presented to the throne the Měirén fù 美人賦, remonstrating with Xuánzōng over the xuǎnrén 選人 levy of palace ladies. Biography in Xīn Táng shū 202 (Liángyuàn 兩苑). CBDB 92507 gives floruit 722–725. Some sources give the zì alternatively as Wéncí 文茨 — the Sòng catalogues record uncertainty about the form.
