Táng Hóng 唐黌 (zì/hào Qínzhōu 芹洲, fl. Qiánlóng, 清), Kūnshān 崑山 (Jiāngsū) amateur rural physician, not formally trained. Author of KR3ek015 Wàikē xuǎnyào 外科選要 (2 juǎn, Qiánlóng 41 = 1776), a concise didactic distillation of the three great MíngQīng surgical compendia (Chén Shígōng’s KR3ek014 Wàikē zhèngzōng, Qí Kūn’s KR3ek011 Wàikē dà chéng, and Wáng Kěntáng’s KR3ek027 Yángyī zhǔnshéng) for use by non-specialists in his locality. He describes himself in his preface as a self-taught village practitioner working from the imperial KR3ek009 Yīzōng jīnjiàn. Should not be confused with the separate, larger Wàikē xuǎnyào in 6 juǎn by Xú Zhēnjiè 徐真銈 (1843). Not in CBDB.
