Late Yuán painting connoisseur; zì Shìliáng 士良, with clan-seat from Wúxīng 吳興 but resident in Sōngjiāng 松江 (modern Shànghǎi region). Active in the Zhìzhèng 至正 era (1341–1368); friend and protégé of Yáng Wéizhēn 楊維楨, the dominant Wú literatus of the period. The family held a substantial painting collection. Author of KR3h0041 Túhuì bǎojiàn 圖繪寶鑑 (1365), the standard biographical dictionary of Chinese painters from antiquity through the Yuán — 1,500+ entries with critical evaluations, the most comprehensive painting reference work produced before the Qīng Pèiwénzhāi shūhuà pǔ KR3h0061.
