Xià Liángshèng 夏良勝 (1480–1538), Zǐzhōng 子中, was a Mid-Míng Lǐxué official and remonstrator of Nánchéng 南城 (Jiāngxī). Jìnshì of Zhèngdé wùchén (1508); rose to Tàichángsì shàoqīng. Twice flogged and demoted for upright remonstrance — in Zhèngdé over emperor Wǔzōng’s military expeditions, and in Jiājìng in connection with the Dàlǐ yì (the “Great Rites Controversy”) — the second time exiled to garrison-duty at Liáohǎi 遼海. His major surviving work is the Zhōng yōng yǎn yì 中庸衍義 (KR3a0093), composed during the Liáohǎi exile of Jiājìng (after 1524), modelled on Zhēn Déxiù’s Dàxué yǎnyì (KR3a0058).
