Sòng official, forty-seventh-generation descendant of Confucius, courtesy name Shìwén 世文. CBDB record 15942 lists his floruit as 1127–1134; standard biographies place him broadly in the late Northern Sòng to early Southern Sòng. With his cousin Kǒng Duānyǒu 孔端友 (holder of the Yǎnshènggōng 衍聖公 title) he fled south at the Jurchen sack of Kāifēng in Jiànyán 1 (1127) and settled in Qúzhōu 衢州 in modern Zhèjiāng, where the Southern Sòng court duplicated the Yǎnshènggōng enfeoffment for the Kǒng family in exile. He rose under the Southern Sòng to Yòucháoyìdàfū 右朝議大夫, prefect of Fǔzhōu 撫州 with concurrent commission as Promoter of Agriculture in the locality, and was enfeoffed as Xiānyuánxiàn kāiguónán 仙源縣開國男. He is principally known as the compiler of the Dōngjiā zájì 東家雜記 (KR2g0002), an insider’s topical account of the Kǒng descent line and of the cult-site at Qūfù, completed in Shàoxīng 4 (1134).
