Zōngshào 宗紹 was a disciple of Wúmén Huìkāi 無門慧開 (1183–1260) and the named compiler (biān 編) of the Wúmén guān 無門關 (KR6q0080, T48 n2005). No independent biographical material survives; no DILA authority entry. The catalog meta follows the convention of naming only the first-line compiler-credit, but Huìkāi’s own compositional preface shows that the cases were gathered by Huìkāi himself in the summer of 1228 at Dōngjiā Lóngxiáng 東嘉龍翔; Zōngshào’s editorial role is that of the finisher who brought the material into its received forty-eight-case form in 1228–1229 for the imperial-birthday offering of Shàodìng 2.1.5 (1229.1.5). Editorial role on KR6q0080 only.
