Bǎoyún 寶雲 (*Ratnamegha; 376–449), Liú-Sòng-period 劉宋 monastic translator. Native of Liángzhōu 涼州, he is reckoned together with Faxian 法顯, Zhìyán 智嚴 (智嚴), and others among the small group of fifth-century Chinese monks who travelled to Central Asia and India in search of scripture; he and Zhìyán reached Khotan, the Pamirs, and Northwest India before returning by sea. Back in China he settled at the Liùhéshān 六合山 retreat near Jiànkāng and at the Dàochǎng 道場 and Zhǐyuán 枳園 monasteries in the capital. His translation activity is documented for 397–449 CE; the Chū sānzàng jì jí (T2145) credits him with collaborative translations including the Wúliángshòu jīng 無量壽經 (in association with Buddhabhadra), [[KR6i0223|Sìtiānwáng jīng 四天王經 (T590)]] and others.
