崔光

Cuī Guāng (450–523), styled Xiàobó 孝伯; senior Northern Wèi court official and a leading lay Buddhist scholar of his time. He served at the highest levels of the Wèi imperial administration and was one of the principal lay patrons of the early-sixth-century Luòyáng translation enterprise. Author of the preface to Vasubandhu’s Shí dì jīng lùn 十地經論 (KR6e0060), one of the great preface-pieces of the Northern-Dynasties Chinese Buddhist tradition and a primary contemporary witness to the institutional context of the Bodhiruci/Ratnamati translation.
