Huànlún 幻輪 was a late-Míng 明 Buddhist monk, active in the late sixteenth century. The preface to his sole surviving work, the Shìjiàn jīgǔ lüè xùjí (KR6r0015), is dated 1576 (Wànlì 萬曆 4). He identifies himself as belonging to the Tiāntái 天台 lineage and his work continues that of 覺岸 (KR6r0014).
No further biographical data is preserved. The compilation of his continuation supplies most of what is known about him: a monk well-read in both Buddhist and Confucian historiography, with access to the imperial records and earlier Buddhist universal histories.
