Liào Píng 廖平 (1852–1932), zì Jìpíng 季平, late-Qīng / Republican-period Sìchuān scholar. Among the most influential late-Qīng theorists of jīnwén 今文 (New Text) classical learning, working broadly downstream of 胡渭 Hú Wèi’s kǎozhèng settlement on the Sòng chart-tradition; his late-period Yìxué writings attempt to reconstruct a xiàngshù programme on revised philological foundations.
