Yán-yī 延一 (號 Miào-jì dà-shī 妙濟大師, “Great Master of Wondrous Salvation”), Northern-Sòng monk; lifedates not transmitted; floruit Jiā-yòu 嘉祐 era (1056–1063). Resident as 賜紫沙門 (“imperially-purpled monk”) at the Zhēn-róng-yuàn 真容院 within the Qīng-liáng-shān Dà-huá-yán-sì 清涼山大華嚴寺 — the principal Mañjuśrī-veneration establishment on Mount Wǔ-tái. Per the source, “broadly versed in the canonical scriptures, his discourse and his memorial-citations are without exception precise and refined.” He served as the stage-master (壇長) of the great Wǔ-tái-shān ordination platform.

His sole substantial Kanripo work is the 《廣清涼傳》 Guǎng qīngliáng zhuàn (KR6r0134, T2099, 3 juan, ca. 1056–1063) — a Northern-Sòng comprehensive expansion of KR6r0133 Gǔ qīngliáng zhuàn (Huìxiáng, ca. 680). The work was undertaken at the request of the prefectural official Qiè Jìchuān 郄濟川, prefaced by Qiè in Jiāyòu 5 = 1060, and completed in three months (“費三月而成廣清涼傳三卷”).
