Àixīn-juéluó Hónglì 愛新覺羅弘曆 (1711–1799), reign-name Qiánlóng 乾隆 (r. 1735–1796), temple name Gāozōng 高宗. Fourth Manchu Qīng emperor to rule over China; longest de facto reign in Chinese history. Sponsor of the Sìkù quánshū 四庫全書 imperial compilation (1772–1782), the Sìkù tíyào 四庫提要 prefaces, and numerous Yùtí 御題 / Yùzhì 御製 imperial-composition poems and prefaces attached to individual works (e.g. Yì chuán dēng KR1a0044, Zhōuyì zǒng yì KR1a0048). Under his patronage 紀昀 Jǐ Yún, 陸錫熊 Lù Xīxióng, and 孫士毅 Sūn Shìyì served as General Compilers of the Sìkù; 陸費墀 Lù Fèichí as General Reviser.
