The 67th-generation hereditary Duke Yǎnshèng 衍聖公 of the Kǒng lineage, head of the descendants of Confucius at Qūfù; native of Qūfù 曲阜 (Shāndōng). Zì Zhōngzài 鍾在; hào Lántáng 蘭堂. The catalog and Sìkù tradition writes the surname 弘 (rather than 孔) to mark the imperial avoidance—standard Kāngxī-and-after Manchu-influenced practice for sacred names; modern scholarship reverts to the canonical 孔毓圻. Succeeded as duke in 1672 at age 15. Hosted Kāngxī’s 1684 imperial visit to Quēlǐ and led the multi-decade compilation of the Xìnglǔ Shèngdiǎn 幸魯盛典 (KR2m0033) recording it. Also patron of the Quēlǐ Kǒngshì zōngpǔ and major Kǒng-temple architectural renovations of the early Qīng. CBDB / Wikidata both confirm 1657–1723.
