Zhāng Jiǔsháo 張九韶 (1314–1396), zì Měihé 美和 (later used as míng — hence often called Zhāng Měihé 張美和), was a YuánMíng transition Confucian classicist of Qīngjiāng 清江 (Jiāngxī). Several times unsuccessful in late-Yuán examinations; under Hóngwǔ 3 (1370), recommended to the new Míng court and appointed Xiànxué jiàoyù 縣學教諭, then Guózǐjiàn zhùjiào 國子監助教, then Hànlín biānxiū; retired but recalled to jiào shū (collation) duty, and on completion was returned. His career-summary appears in the Míng shǐ Sòng Nè zhuàn 明史宋訥傳 附 (he is treated alongside Sòng Nè, Wáng Jiāhuì, Gōng Xiào, Niè Hóng, Bèi Qióng — the early-Míng Guózǐjiàn generation). Major work: the Lǐxué lèi biān 理學類編 (KR3a0077), composed in Zhìzhèng bǐngwǔ (1366) under his earlier title Gé wù biān and renamed by Wú Dāng 吳當 of Línchuān. CBDB id 66401, dates 1314–1396.
