Zhāng Jūzhèng (1525–1582)

Late-Míng grand secretary, the most powerful chief minister of the Wànlì era, and author of the Sìshū zhíjiě 四書直解, the dominant Míng-Qīng vernacular-leaning Sìshū commentary. His four-step pedagogical format (zhù annotation, lùn discussion, jiǎng exposition, zhèng verification) is the explicit model for 石成金 Shí Chéngjīn’s KR6c0085 Jīngāng jīng Shí zhù.
