Zhāng Chǔshū 張楚叔 (fl. Chóngzhēn era, 1628–1644), self-styled Sāoyǐn jūshì 騷隱居士 (“Recluse of Sāo”). A late-Míng qǔ anthologist of the Jiāngnán region, otherwise undocumented. Elder brother of Zhāng Xùchū 張旭初. The two compiled the Báixuězhāi xuǎndìng yuèfǔ Wúsāo hébiān 白雪齋選訂樂府吳騷合編 KR4j0069, dated Chóngzhēn dīngchǒu (1637, by the editor’s own colophon — though the proximate preface is dated Chóngzhēn bǐngzǐ / 1636 winter). The anthology was based on his elder-brother editing and his younger-brother’s revision and proof-correction. Not in CBDB; the Zhāng brothers are known almost exclusively through this single anthology and the surrounding Yuèfǔ compilations of the late Míng (the Wúsāo series in particular).
