Early-Qīng poet of the Shāndōng Yúyáng circle, zì Lìyǒu 歷友 (also written 厯友), hào Kūnlúnshānrén 崑崙山人; native of Zīchuān 淄川 (Shāndōng). The nephew of Wáng Shìzhēn 王士禎 (his mother was Wáng Shìzhēn’s elder sister). Standard biographical sources give his lifedates as 1642–1715. A close friend of Pú Sōnglíng 蒲松齡 (1640–1715, author of Liáozhāi zhìyì); the two were classmates and members of the same Zīchuān literary society.
