Zhāng Xuān 張萱 (1558–1641), zì Mèngqí 孟奇, hào Jiǔshāng 九嶂. Native of Bóluó 博羅 county, Huìzhōu 惠州, Guǎngdōng. Wànlì jìnshì (1582); served as zhōngshū shěrén 中書舍人 with charge of compiling the imperial Wényuāngé shūmù 文淵閣書目 — a key Míng-court bibliographic register — and rose to Hùbù lángzhōng 戶部郎中 with assignment to Sūzhōu. A major late-Míng bibliophile whose private library Huìyántāng 彙雁堂 was among the great Wànlì collections. Best known as the actual author of the Yí yào 疑耀 (KR3j0063), originally published in 1608 under the name of Lǐ Zhì 李贄 (a commercial fraud the Sìkù editors corrected with overwhelming internal evidence). CBDB has no clear matching record (the entries under 張萱 in CBDB are predominantly a different earlier person of 1459–1527). Lifedates 1558–1641 follow late-Míng biographical and gazetteer sources.
